Established in 1986, the (College of Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts ) (CFPCA) at (Wayne State University ) in the Midtown neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan, USA is home to 16 undergraduate, 11 graduate, and 4 certificate programs in (Art ), (Communication ), (Dance ), (Music ) and (Theater ). These programs are led by faculty, and many of the college's alumni have gained recognition and received accolades for achievements in their fields. The majority of the CFPCA's classes are offered at the Midtown Campus, but select classes are also offered at (Macomb Center ), (Oakland Center ), and online. Students also have the possibility of studying and/or performing abroad. Administrative offices for the College are also located at the Midtown Campus in the (Linsell House ) at 5104 Gullen Mall. Over 100,000 people attend CFPCA exhibits, lectures, and performances every year, making the College the cultural gateway of Wayne State University and connecting the university's nearly 33,000 students and 2,700 employees to the community and to its museums, galleries, libraries, theaters, and other venues where the approximately 2,500 students of the CFPCA often have opportunities to exhibit, research, and perform. There are also opportunities to intern with some of Metro Detroit's top companies in advertising, public relations, journalism, or other industries.
